Morning yoga then lunch at senior center then massage. I have spent the last week working with friends to help a friend and former neighbor. He ended up in the hospital and will now move to assisted living but all of his paperwork is out of date. Using my genealogy skills, I was able to find family down south who will take on the power of attorney.

Juneau Jazz and Classics this week with brown bag free concert at noon with Vega String Quartet, then walk on the docks to greet our first cruise ship of the season, MS Eurodam.

A very busy day! Morning volunteer work at the Salvation Army then returned home to find there was a potluck in the common area. Then to Pioneer Home for ice cream social and piano music by Tom then visit with friend at Riverview Senior Living where her son was also visiting, some great stories were shared. A bit of shopping at Safeway then home to find that this is girls poker night and they were having ice cream to celebrate a birthday, so more ice cream and more laughs!

Walk with the girls at Twin Lakes where we saw several swans.

Another hiking friend passed away this weekend, I am so happy that I have visited her these past few years at Pioneer Home. Afternoon walk on the docks, heaps of birds and a lone Snow Goose wandering the parking lot. Everyone is out cleaning sidewalks and buildings, prepping for the tourists next week.

A bit of respite from the rain with walk at Sandy Beach before presentation on Juneau History by Betsy Longenbaugh then afternoon walk on the docks, only one more week do we have them to ourselves before arrival of the first cruise ship.

Yoga and lunch at the senior center then fetched my Eagle Creek bag from the local outdoor store here. EC has lifetime guarantee and the local store supports that so got new wheels for my bag. Eagle Creek went out of business but was purchased in 2021 and new owner continues to honor that guarantee through an outfit called Index Urban and continues to make their bags.

Open house at condos I had visited one year ago...it appears that only 4 of the 24 had sold so the developer from Utah has been renting out the other 20 as airbnb/vrbo...no wonder we have a housing shortage....half the town is airbnb/vrbo!
