Our first snow at sea level, just gorgeous! A hiking friend and her daughter were here to visit her former husband for breakfast so stopped by to say hi, afternoon performance of Messiah at the local church, another venue to which I can walk, in the slush!

Morning walk out Basin Road which parallels Gold Creek and the flume (too icy this morning for me). This is the weekend for the big annual public market so visited early before the big crowds arrived, delicious salmon and seaweed meatballs on sticky rice!

Happy Thanksgiving! Cold clear day for our feast at the yacht club then walk on the Mendenhall wetlands trail looking for owls.

Morning massage then yoga and lunch at the senior center then walk on Twin Lakes trail.

Helped neighbor move furniture then walkabout downtown then visit state library for research. We found that for sixty years many Alaskans who were deemed insane were sent to a hospital in Oregon, including our city founding father! Evening photography presentation at the state library.

The daughter of a fellow hiker who is now at Pioneer Home gave to me her hiking trails information that she had collected for the past over fifty years. I scanned some of these items then donated them to the state library historical collections. Evening 90th birthday party of another fellow hiker from days gone by.

Our first snow, although more wet than fluff, and not sticking, but snow level on mountains is now very low, so may be more sticking out the road where it is colder.

Opened the curtains this morning and there was a bear just ambling through the woods behind me, so cute and furry and fat for winter. First Friday walkabout with wonderful artwork and music.

Yoga and lunch at the senior center then afternoon working at the Salvation Army, processing donations from a friend that filled up my car.

Beautiful full moon set early this morning even though the official Beaver full moon is tomorrow. Walk on the flume and downtown, then to find that I won prize of salmon from Taku Smokeries on the Downtown Pumpkin Patch walkabout last week...all it took was finding the location of hidden pumpkin in several stores.

a bit of clearing today for two hour walk at the glacier, to Nugget Falls and photo point and along Steep Creek.....beautiful snow covered mountains that have been hidden by clouds and rain the past several days, and the snow is getting lower...then a foot massage at the mall.
