Have spent the past three days trying to book followup appointment with shoulder surgeon but very long wait on telephone and their online booking system does not work so drove the three miles to their office to make the booking. I also found that my mother's dentist who I have also been using just sold her business with it property to another doctor without even telling her staff, quite a surprise!

Morning walk at Taylor Park then visit with mum at alf to find that they have shutdown and are not allowing visitors due to new covid cases on the campus, and my sister and her husband were planning to visit next week, but not now!

Morning walkabout then wait for the Trinity mobile van wash guy to show up, but again a no show...when I rang him he told me that he fell last evening and he was now at the chiropractor...he told me that he had called this morning but did not want to leave a voice message but there was no record of his having called.

Morning walkabout then wait for the Trinity mobile van wash guy to show up but a no show, found out that he had a flat tire so we rebooked for tomorrow. Spent time on the telephone trying to find my "stuff" but there is a backup at the port of Seattle!

Morning walkabout then time at the pool. Watched "Unforgotten" UK film series season 4, brilliant!

Morning walkabout then neighbor helped me put together shelving for my storage unit. Visit with mum at assisted living then a bit of shopping. There is no light in these storage units and my friend had a rechargeable portable task light that mounts via magnets so found me one at Home Depot.

Morning delivery of new bed then afternoon drop off of donations at thrift shop.

Morning walk at Walsingham Park where we got soaked again! Have been considering for the past one and one half years of getting a new bed for the guest bedroom since the one in there now is about fifty years old that our mother got from a motel....so another visit to Mattress Firm where I made a purchase last year and decided to get a new one for me (a more firm one) and move the one I bought last year to the guest bedroom.

6am arrival Tampa then quick taxi from airport to Seminole.

Delayed flight today instead of yesterday with very full flights but enjoyed company of a few Juneau friends at the lounge in Seattle for four hour layover.

Uncertainty as to status of my flight from Juneau via Seattle to Tampa since they plan to close Tampa Airport due to hurricane Elsa so drove to airport (no desire to be on hold on phone). First visit at 7am resulted in no changes then second visit at 9am resulted in change to next day but could not access online so on third visit they were able to check me in but cannot get boarding pass nor baggage tag until four hours before departure whereas if you can access from home (which I cannot) you can get pass/tag 24 hours in advance.....what a mess. Lunch at el sombrero then walkabout of neighborhood to visit a few friends.

Happy Fourth of July! The parade theme this year is Building Bridges Across the Last Frontier and a beautiful sunny day for a parade....then over to Douglas Island for walkabout at Sandy Beach.
3 July 2021 Saturday - Juneau Alaska
Walkabout downtown to view old neighborhood and see many friends along the way. Enjoyed Juneau Marching Band concert at Marine Park. Woke up at midnight to sounds of fireworks which I could view out my window on the water.

Last visit to my storage unit to load car with empty boxes to recycle. Visit to post office to forward my mail then walkabout on seawalk to visit friend at Salvation Army then lunch at Hangar with the ladies of the neighborhood.

Hike with Lynne at Boy Scout camp trail, out to beach then cross the creek at low tide for walkabout at the camp, then visit to arboretum....just gorgeous.
