Morning walk cancelled due to heavy rain and thunderstorms! Since I had already planned to visit the library today, I decided to do a walkabout at Largo Central Park Nature Reserve where I saw heaps of birds but no alligator today.

Morning walk with Susan and Sara then swim in the pool...a cold front is moving in next week so thought that I would enjoy a swim and exercise my shoulders even though water temp is 72!

Morning walkabout alone and then time at the pool enjoying the warm sunshine then visit with mum at ALF. I drove her 102 year old friend Lena whom she has known since she moved to this condo complex 25 years ago and they had a great visit. Lena was more agile than I thought and was able to get into my van!

Happy Thanksgiving! I arrived here in Florida one year ago today...time sure does fly by! A quiet day enjoying the pool and spending time on the telephone ringing friends and family.

Morning walk in the neighborhood then drive to Target to fetch stuff for mum.....and the paper aisle is empty again! Early morning fog cleared so spent time at the pool but no swimming with water temp at 71 degrees.

Morning walk at Walsingham Park then spent time cleaning and putting house back together after finally fixing the leak in the front hall closet and laundry room.

Reserved a visit with mum at her assisted living facility clubhouse. We sorted through her Christmas clothes....seems like just yesterday that I had fetched them to stow away.

Morning walk then coffee with the neighbors then walk to the library to fetch Durrells in Corfu film series based on the book written by the youngest Durrell, Gerald. I had forgotten that I had worked with his Durrell Wildlife Conservation organization in our park Ankarafantsika while in the Peace Corps in Madagascar where they are trying to save the endangered tortoise.
17 November 2020 Tuesday - Largo Florida
Morning walk at Walsingham Park then stop for empanadas before afternoon therapy.
16 November 2020 Monday - Largo Florida
Morning walk at Boca Ciega Millenium Park then time for a swim in the pool. Met with our maintenance guy to determine source of leak that occurred here during last week's storm...found that there appears to be a crack at the base of the planter box attached to the front wall, at least we found the source.
15 November 2020 Sunday - Largo Florida
Morning shopping at Trader Joe's and Fresh Market then filled van with petrol for first time in two months at $1.79 per gallon! Spent time at the pool.
14 November 2020 Saturday - Largo Florida
Cooler day with walk at Largo Nature Preserve where we saw alligator, river otter and heaps of birds! Waited for roof men to show up and look at roof but they tore it apart and found nothing....now where to look for source of leak?

Morning walk on the beach which was really flattened by the storm!

Happy Veterans Day! Today's weather alerts are hurricane Eta watch, tornado watch, tropical storm warning, flash flood watch, rip current and high surf advisory, high winds, heavy rain and tropical cyclone statement with excellent air quality and temps in the 70's.....so I guess that I will just stay put! Enjoyed our weekly morning coffee and donuts with the neighbors at the clubhouse.

Morning walk on the beach, nice for it to now be lighter in the morning! Then time with the physical therapist who has moved me from the roller to the ball so stopped at FiveBelow on way home to get a yoga ball to add to my exercise routine.
5 November 2020 Thursday - Largo Florida
Morning walkabout then hair color and cut, finally, then afternoon with PT although I think that he pulled a bit much on my good arm because now it hurts even more.
4 November Wednesday - Largo Florida
Morning coffee with the neighbors then time at the pool then afternoon visit with mum. Family may now reserve a visit in their common clean area for thirty minutes so scheduled this for mum with another one of her neighbors here.
3 November Tuesday - Largo Florida
Morning walk at Largo Central Park Nature Preserve where we saw heaps of birds then afternoon PT session.
2 November 2020 Monday - Largo Florida
Morning walkabout (a colder morning so wore my jacket) then drove to hairdresser planning for color and cut but she had not read my email about color so needed to reschedule for Thursday. Returned to spend time at the pool where both air and water temp at 75 degrees.
1 November 2020 Sunday - Largo Florida
First day of driving after six weeks since shoulder surgery so chose an early Sunday morning for drive to Sprouts.
