and the COLD continues! Morning workout then walk to Seminole Community Center for Fit over Fifty event then visit to library then visit to Family History Library at the church.

Morning coffee and donuts at the clubhouse.....my mother was so active with this group in years past but she no longer attends so we decided to make a visit for this Wednesday (they meet every Wednesday at 8am). I then walked to the AAA and booked a cruise to Australia for my 70th birthday!

Morning workout at the gym then to fetch my mother's mended purse from the shoe repair shop then genealogy research at the library.

Had planned to walk to yoga this morning but it is pouring down rain and very cold so cooked mum some corn meal mush instead.

Morning walk to seamstress to fetch the last of my mended Roadtrek curtains then afternoon installing genealogy software on my new laptop.

Morning workout at the gym then dropped mum's purse at shoe repair for mending then visit to Largo Mall then Franco American genealogy session at the library. I returned home to go through one of my mother's shoeboxes that she had stowed in closet and found 1877 second grade school record for her grandfather!

Morning breakfast at SuzieQs then took my sister to the airport for return to North Carolina.

Happy 93rd birthday to our mother with lunch at Olive Garden then almost two hour wait at the DMV to get her new Real ID card.

Our mother had 6am appointment with her doctor for endoscopy procedure then my sister and I spent time at the pool where water temperature was 58 degrees.

21 January 2019 Monday - Seminole Florida
My sister and I did a few errands for our mother then visited the Florida Botanical Gardens and the Narrows/George McGough nature park for a walkabout and viewing of the turtles and birds. We also stopped at my mother's stepson's home for a visit.

Morning two hour walk at Weedon Island Preserve...heaps of birds but did not see the gopher tortoise....then stop at Trader Joes and Fresh Market in St Pete before drive back.

Morning workout at the gym then delivered another van curtain to the seamstress for them to remove old glide tape hooks and install new ones.

Morning walk to the seamstress to fetch my van curtain. I had used these folks (mother and daughter) last year to repair one of my van curtains but needed to order more glide tape with hooks online and did not receive in time last year for them to do the work.

Morning workout at the gym then a bit of shopping at Largo Mall then genealogy class at the library learning about the process of naturalization and finding our family records.

Morning dental appointment for teeth cleaning then afternoon to fetch a friend of my mother's from her doctor appointment.

Walk to morning yoga then time at the pool then afternoon at the Elks to attend memorial for friend of my mother's. They were both very active in the 1990's as Presidents of the Ladies of the Elks (before they allowed women to be members). Many folks had so many great words to say about Helen who died last August at age 95. My mother and I would meet Helen at the Elks for dinner every January during my visit here. Last January, Helen told me of her Swedish ancestry so I did the research and found that the families of both Helen and my mother were from the same area north of Stockholm where I visited in October 2017.

While I was visiting my friend in Tucson, my propane alarm went off and found that it was as old as the van (twenty years) and they should be replaced every five years but you cannot find them in the stores so ordered one off Amazon and a neighbor here helped me install it today.....unfortunately I needed to take everything out of van to access it.

Morning workout at the gym then visit to Largo Mall then another great genealogy class at the Largo Library on Immigration. Stopped for petrol on the way home.....$1.95 per gallon!

While mum is out with her friend Honey, I spent time this morning taking down the Christmas tree, cleaning and washing before acupuncture appointment with Deborah.

Happy New Year! Morning workout at the gym then return home to take my mum grocery shopping then a swim in her pool (water still at 71 degrees).
