Ross Prairie State Forest Florida walkabout

28 February 2019 Thursday - Waycross to Thomson Georgia (163 miles)
Heavy fog then rain, not fun driving routes 1/23/4/15/17 north!

27 February 2019 Wednesday - Gainesville Florida to Waycross Georgia (125 miles)
Sunny start for the drive north on routes 121/23 (Okefenokee Trail) then heavy clouds with forecast of thunderstorms. I have continued to research my Juneau friend's family and just put a big twist on what many rellies thought were their ancestors but were not! I found a pioneer biography on microfilm in North Dakota and the historical researchers in ND sent this to me which showed something much different than what people had assumed!

26 February 2019 Tuesday - Ocala to Gainesville Florida (54 miles)
Morning visit to Payne's Prairie Preserve State Park where I saw deer and bison and heaps of birds on the water, a beautiful savannah, but then it started to rain! Visit to historic village of Micanopy, where they found a dead body yesterday!

25 February 2019 Monday - Crystal River to Ocala Florida (30 miles)
Gorgeous day for a 2.25 mile walk in the woods on Holly Hammock trail at Ross Prairie State Forest before visit with Linda at On Top of the World community. Her father's brother married a descendant of my great great grandfather sister so we had heaps to share.

24 February 2019 Sunday - Seminole to Crystal River Florida (74 miles)
leaving Seminole and heading north to NC!

Morning workout at the gym, more veggies from Earthfare, and packing the van! Enjoying the evening with mum watching Lawrence Welk big band program from 1973

Another very hot day for morning walk then time for a swim at the pool, water temp 76 degrees.

Full snow moon tonight! Morning workout at the gym then late morning genealogy class at the library on Courthouse records. The trees surrounding the library are now in bloom with yellow and pink and purple flowers. Close to 90 degrees today.

Very warm and humid, what a change! Morning workout at the gym then time at the pool then catching up with friends on the telephone. While reading the Juneau newpaper online, I found that a friend with whom I worked at IBM Juneau passed away earlier this month....what a shock!

Morning workout at the gym then a swim at the pool where the water temp is up to 70 degrees and the air temp broke a record at 84 degrees.

A day as chauffeur for mum and her neighbor to the doctor offices! We also stopped to shop and buy new lamps for my mother's bedroom since the lamps that she has had forever no longer work.

Morning walk to yoga but my favorite instructor was not there and we had a substitute who was not as good, bummer, then walk to get a pedicure.

Morning workout at the gym then midday at the pool, finally it is warmer again, although the water is still very cold at 60 degrees.
