Happy Halloween, after a week of sunshine (and cold) the rain and maybe snow has returned! Spent afternoon downtown collecting a few bits of candy from the merchants and enjoying all the costumes.

Memorial for a friend who was well known as classical guitar player, everyone made a pie, both savory and sweet!

A friend and neighbor (from when I owned a house for many years) passed away in June and I have since been clearing the house of stuff kept for fifty years. His wife is in assisted living and his nephew is in California so I had taken on a job much bigger that I wanted!!! He had been the local accordionist (we found 21 accordions in addition to other instruments such as clarinets, flutes, drums etc). He kept everything, like bank statements since he moved here in the 1970s, the house was stuffed and it is taken me four months to sift through it all. The family has just hired a realtor so we had open house today to get rid of what remained, mostly furniture, not wanting it to go to landfill.
