Afternoon preview of a film being produced as documentary of Princess Sophia. Juneau was a town of only about 3000 but many came to rescue the bodies and the city businesses were used as morgues, about 353 people lost their lives. Many folks have stories of ghosts still roaming the downtown buildings.

The rains held off until our return after midday. Decided to try a tub soak for the knees but then after I filled the tub, the water shutoff for the sixth time since I first rented the apartment. I rang the owner and he will contact those who installed it to find why it is shutting off so frequently.

I am now enjoying another film series on PBS Passport, Magpie Murders, just wonderful!

All eyes are on Milton! Morning yoga then halibut lunch with retirees with whom I worked many years ago on State payroll/finance project.
I first heard this story when Ian hit in 2022...
A local legend claims that Native American blessings and burial mounds protect Tampa Bay from hurricanes.
The Tocobaga civilization's burial mounds, including the oldest one overlooking Old Tampa Bay, are said to provide supernatural protection from hurricanes. The legend also claims that Native Americans built mounds to keep out invaders.
Locals believe that the Tampa Bay area is protected from major storms due to the blessings of the Native Americans who once lived there.
