Morning walk at Taylor Park then visit with mum at alf. Midday visit to pool with chat with one of the neighbors. Great to receive email from my sister's granddaughter who has an interest in genealogy!

Morning walkabout at the Botanical Gardens then food shopping at Sprouts. Visited the condo garage sale at the clubhouse which had nothing that I needed. Afternoon visit to myeyedr to replace lens in newly received frames to replace those that broke at nose bridge (this is third set of flexon frames due to breakage in six months)

16 February 2023 Thursday - Phoenix Arizona to Tampa Florida
Returned hire car to airport in the dark and was able to get reduced price due to having to patch bad tire, no valve stems, no window washer for both front and rear and a really dirty car when I fetched it. They now have new train shuttle from rental center to airport that just opened in time for the Super Bowl and Golf Tournament. American flight from PHX to TPA, a bit late departure and arrival, Ginny fetched me at airport.

14 February 2023 Tuesday - Ivins Utah to Kingman Arizona (225 miles)
First bad weather of my travels predicted but was just an overcast day for drive through Lake Meade Recreation Area, then heavy rain and hail when I arrived Kingman AZ for the eve.

13 February 2023 Monday - Ivins Utah
Morning walk at Gunlock State Park via slot canyon and along very low reservoir, afternoon facial at Red Mountain Sage Spa.

12 February 2023 Sunday - Ivins Utah (115 miles)
Visit to site of Mountain Meadows Massacre near Enterprise, unfortunately at this higher elevation, there was quite a bit of snow. This was a mass murder by the Mormons of at least 120 members of the Baker-Fancher emigrant train travelling from Arkansas to California in 1857, very sad. Great rock shop at Enterprise then afternoon pedicure at the Red Mountain Sage Spa.

Visited the grand opening of the US Chefs store then to Costco next door. Afternoon lunch at Xetava cafe then walkabout of Kayenta

Morning hike to the Vortex near Gunlock then afternoon grocery shopping.

When I fetched my rental from Hertz in Phoenix, the tire pressure light was on so filled all the tires, then after 600 miles it lit up again yesterday. I spent the morning trying to find a tire shop that would check it out and found that right front tire did have nail and they patched it for free, and put on valve stem covers which were also missing.

8 February 2023 Wednesday - Springdale to Ivins Utah (122 miles)
Zion Park tunnel then hike to Canyon Overlook then visit to Coral Pink Sand State Park with wonderful walk on the sand dunes then visit to Water Canyon Resort and Maxwell Park near Hildale when the tire pressure light came on again. Filled with air at Chevron Apple Valley.

7 February 2023 Tuesday - Ivins to Springdale Utah (69 miles)
Morning drive for overnight stay in Springdale. Wonderful hike on Emerald Pools trail in Zion National Park with Lynne and her friend Sharon. The parking lots for Angels Landing were already full at 10am. Dinner of crepes at MeMes

6 February 2023 Monday - Ivins/St George Utah
Walkabout of Red Mountain Resort where Lynne works then walkabout of downtown St George. Lunch  of sliders and garlic green beans at Georges.

5 February 2023 Sunday - Ivins/St George Utah
Hike at Snow Canyon State Park on West Canyon/Hidden Pinyon/Whiptail trails. Walkabout at Red Mountain Resort where employees can get food from buffet for five bucks. Shopping at Albertsons then evening slide show of Lynne's adventures in Botswana.

4 February 2023 Saturday - Kingman Arizona to Ivins/St George Utah (232 miles)
Drove through AZ/NV/UT via Lake Mead Recreation Area along the very low water lake and stopped at all the scenic lookouts. Nevada is on Pacific time so missed seeing the Visitor Center because I was too early before they opened. Visit to Lost City Museum in Overton then stop in Mesquite for a bit of shopping. Afternoon arrival at Lynne's.

3 February 2023 Friday - Phoenix to Kingman Arizona (178 miles)
Early brekkie then route 93 north via Wickenburg and Wikieup to Kingman. Lunch at In&Out Burger, only found in the west.

2 February 2023 Thursday - Largo Florida to Phoenix Arizona
Early morning flight to Phoenix on a very full flight. Arrived to fetch my rental car and found that you can go to the parking lot and select what you want, difficult for me who cannot decide. I am now driving Honda 2022 CRV AWD hybrid black with GA plates, but as I left there was low tire pressure. Guy at the hotel filled it for me so here is hoping that it is not a bad tire, with only 22000 miles on it.
