Departing Juneau early this summer for Baker family reunion in South Dakota in July. Ferry to Bellingham then drive east!

30 June 2016 Thursday - on the ferry Columbia
No ports today until arrival in Bellingham tomorrow!

Early morning stops in Petersburg and Wrangell but not enough time for a long walk.....Ketchikan in the afternoon but the boat is still running late so not a long walk here either! Have seen orca and eagles!

28 June 2016 Tuesday - Juneau Alaska
Early morning departure on the ferry Columbia via Sitka, Petersburg, Wrangell and Ketchikan to Bellingham arrival Friday morning. We were in Sitka for about two hours so took the $10 shuttle bus to town (about six miles) for a walkabout and milkshake at Race Pharmacy!

A bit of bush whacking for our hike along Peterson Creek at North Douglas but it was worth the work to get to the sunny beach for lunch! Easy return along the bluff above the water.

Weather has been strangely dry in Juneau! Today's hike to Salmon Creek dam.....overcast with chance of rain but stayed dry all day!
