I have had many problems with this rental situation where the owners do not fix everything that is broken....it has been a neglected rental property for fifteen years and the landlady refuses to spend money to fix anything......and then her fixit guy just walks in one day while I was out.....breach of lease and AK State law.....so I have given notice and will be gone from here at end of July.....plan to stay in Juneau a bit then move on down the road.

Another garage sale but this time at Michelle's house in her double car garage with nine families participating (an annual social event!)....and then Michelle's homemade soup after.....a great day!

Happy Solstice!
In Alaska, at age 60, you get a free fishing license...but I did not know that at age 65, you can have someone use your license to catch a fish (proxy fishing).....so now I have fresh king salmon in the fridge thanks to a younger fisherman!

Wonderful hike up Perseverance Trial....the group continued up Granite Creek Basin but I returned to help Michelle with the Master Gardeners garden tour.....she has a beautiful garden!

The clouds and rains have returned for our hike at the Boys Scout Camp to Eagle Beach but still wonderful!

The sun is back with some clouds so hiked Perseverance Trail with a friend and her daughter and her cousin (and husband) visiting from Minnesota....beautiful wildflowers in bloom but no critters to see.....we did hear the marmot!

Our sunny May has turned into a very wet and chilly and windy June! But we did need the rain.
