26 April 2013 Friday - San Francisco CA
Decided to overnight at the Hampton Inn for the weekend.....needed to wash clothes and catch up on internet stuff! Unfortunately, I left my computer with my friend Annette (who is also collecting my mail) but she is currently travelling with her husband in eastern Europe and returns 2 May.....so hanging out again in the Bay Area until she returns....then I will head north for ferry to Juneau.

UPDATE: Late snowfall in Juneau spurs winter weather advisory
That's right.....snow is in Juneau's forecast today.
The National Weather Service issued a winter weather advisory this morning predicting two to three inches of snow prior to it turning to rain in the afternoon.
Snow in late April is not unusual, according to Meteorologist Tim Steffen in the Juneau Forecast Office.
He says the latest snow fall ever was point 2 inches on May 13, 1965.
22 April 2013 Monday - Accra Ghana
We arrived in the very big city of Accra today.
I have decided to not do the next three weeks with Dragoman....not happy with the leaders! Plus the price of the eight week for which I originally booked was cheaper than doing the separate trips. I have already been to Togo and Benin...plus it is now a very full truck with more camping in the rainy season.
I depart 24 April and arrive SFO on 25 April
4 April 2013 Thursday
We are now in Labe Guinea....arrived yesterday via some very bad roads....Jan and I sat in the back of the truck with all the windows open and by the end of the day, we were covered in red dust! We bush camped on Tuesday eve after crossing the border from Guinea Bissau. Too many things I want to describe but the internet is very bad here.
We will spend the next week in Guinea then cross into Cote d'Ivoire.
Just to let anyone know that we are doing well!
