Great walkabout at Weedon Island Preserve then visit to Trader Joes and Fresh Market. Afternoon cleaning of the backyard stoop (with bleach) and washing of the windows and screens.

Morning nordic walk of the neighborhood with my Leki poles then relaxing time at the pool, water temp is now 79 degrees. Afternoon shopping for shelf/cabinet to fill the dishwasher space.

Morning walk at Taylor Park then visit with mum then the plumber removed our dishwasher and disposal, something I have been wanting to do for a long time.....the dishwasher is very old and only makes the dishes dirtier when used!

Morning walkabout at Botanical Gardens. Spoke with someone who is friend with a fireman and found that some folks died because they had moved to their attic to escape rising waters of Ian and the water continued to rise with no escape and they drowned.

Return drive to Largo with stop at Whole Foods, the shelves were more bare than usual and no sparkling water.

Another clear cool day so spent morning at the pool then afternoon walkabout. Have found that some petrol stations are out of gas while others have no problem, and price has dropped to $2.89! Chatted with a woman from the hotel and she has hired a drone for $50 to check on status of her home in Venice. She said that it would be difficult to drive south because I75 is closed due to flooding of Myakka River over the interstate.
