Early morning walk to fetch my van, connected the battery and it started right up, yea!!! I did notice though that the brake fluid was low but no leaks on the ground. Decided to have automotive place suss it out before I travel so made appointment for Monday.

Morning meeting with lawyer to finalize changes to mum's will then birthday lunch for her at Sea Breeze with friends and family. Walkabout at Bonner park and Indian Rocks beach park.

Morning workout at the gym then luncheon to learn about living wills then fetch my sister at the Tampa airport.

Morning workout at the the gym then met with owner of ALF to discuss robbery incident but nothing he can do! Walkabout at Bonner Park.

My mother rang last evening to say that she had been robbed at the senior living facility, $100 stolen from her purse in her nightstand. She always keeps her door locked when she is away from the room, which is only for meals, so it must have been done by an employee with keys.....so very disheartening, I did not sleep at all last evening. I had not planned to visit her today but I arrived early in the morning to confront whomever I could find, but being a Saturday, those in charge are not working. I will meet with one of the owners on Monday. I then decided I needed a walkabout so enjoyed more birds at both Bonner Park and Indian Rocks Beach Nature Reserve boardwalks.

Morning workout at the gym then tackled the cleaning of the oven, what a mess! Took a break for some time in the sun at the pool.

Irish genealogy group at the library then evening free meal (only a sandwich and crisps) to learn about VA benefits.

Morning walk to acupuncture appointment, overcast warm and humid! Pool temp is 71 degrees so time for a swim then evening monthly meeting of the homeowners association.

Morning workout at the gym then met my sister's son at the assisted living. He had flown from Raleigh to Orlando for business and drove here to visit with mum/his grandmother!
13 January 2020 Monday - Largo Florida
Morning workout at the gym and then a bit of time at the pool before meeting with Veterans Administration to get widow benefits for our mother, a long and slow process full of filling out heaps of forms and waiting. Short walk at Eagle Lake Park (heaps of birds and more alligators) before returning home. I found that much of this area was named after John Stansel Taylor a pioneer who helped found Largo.

Morning shopping for organic veggies at Sprouts then walk at Taylor Park where I found heaps of birds and heaps more disc golf players (I feared getting hit!). These guys carry a golf cart full of discs of many colors. Then a visit with mum.

Morning visit by Duke Energy for energy audit of mum's home. We had hoped that this audit would give us rebate on windows, but this is done only for single family homes, not multifamily/condos. It was still a worthwhile (free) evaluation. My new mattress was schedule for a noon-2 delivery so decided to enjoy an hour at the pool (water temp still too cool at 63) but come to find out the delivery truck showed up at 1015am (while I was gone) so he was there when I returned after 11 (I think that they may have gone for a bite to eat or another delivery rather than wait). Afternoon visit to the bank for notary signature on building permit for window install and a much needed haircut.

Morning workout at the gym then a visit to my friends at the LDS Family History Library with a bit of time for some research. Also visited the Seminole Historical Society which is only open Thursday and Saturday, quite a bit of history here, and the city of Seminole is celebrating their fiftieth anniversary this year.

Morning walk to acupuncture appointment then met my mother for her doctor appointment then afternoon appointment with guy to plan install of new windows for the condo.

Morning workout at the gym then visit to lawyer to modify my mother's will. A bit of time at the pool but not for a swim with water at 64 degrees!

Morning drive to Trader Joe's in St Pete then donation of stuff to church. Finally purchased a mattress with base since sleeping on the floor for the past month is getting painful.

Happy New Year! Finally a day of sunshine so spent time at the pool although the water is still cool at 67 degrees. This has been the rainiest December so have had no time at the pool
