A very rainy day! Drove to the local church to donate mum's stuff to the thrift store then visited the Florida Botanical Gardens and Heritage Village....great walkabout!

25 January 2016 Monday - Largo Florida
Finally back to a routine at home, with a morning visit to the gym and an afternoon of getting ready for my travels in addition to starting work on my taxes!

More celebration at the local cafe with my sister and her husband and my cousin and his wife from Iowa who drove over from their timeshare at Ormond Beach FL.

23 January 2016 Saturday - Largo Florida
My mother's 90th birthday today! She has invited about thirty of her friends for a gathering at Olive Garden! My sister is driving down from NC with her husband and her daughter and fiance are flying in from NC (drove instead). A high school friend who was our neighbor in Arlington VA will also join us in addition to some of my mother's step children with her husband number four.

Because all flights from DC/NC area were cancelled, my mother's stepdaughter could not make it but her granddaughter and fiance decided to drive and arrived here late Friday night!

21 January 2016 Thursday - Largo Florida
My sister and her husband arrived from Cary NC today (less than two day drive).....they left just in time to avoid the big snow storm! We had great afternoon visit.

This el nino brought a tornado to just south of us to Sarasota! I still did my Sunday morning drive to Whole Foods to stock up on organic fruit and veggies!

I purchased a power ball ticket but did not win the $1.5 billion!

4 January 2016 Monday - Largo Florida
A beautiful clear cooler day for a hike at Sawgrass Lake County Park with my friend Kim. We saw heaps of birds, turtle in the water, raccoon and a mother alligator with 14 little ones! We then stopped to stock up at Trader Joes.

Washed mum's 1992 Lincoln Town Car then walked to local grocer before big afternoon feast of ham, brocolli, scallop potatoes, stuffing, deviled eggs, shrimp!
