25 October 2014 Saturday - Juneau Alaska
Spent the past several days getting my van ready for storage. I am parking it in a fenced lot so that I do not need to drive or park it downtown, where it is difficult to find parking, and I also do not want to deal with driving in the snow, if it does snow!
A gorgeous day today so enjoyed a walk along the flume on Gold Creek...beautiful autumn colors!

17 October 2014 Friday - Juneau Alaska
After a wonderful three days at 21 mile in a cabin on the water, I am now moving back into Vicki's downtown home while she travels the world until 5 January. I am enjoying taking a break from these many years of travel.

A very wet hike at Dredge Lake with lunch at the Mendenhall Glacier visitors center. When one of us hikers is celebrating a birthday, the birthday person must bring treats and wear balloons on the hike! So here is me with my balloons!

Housesitting for a friend in downtown Juneau while she spends time in the north looking for polar bears near Kaktovik!

Another rainy day and another day of me awaking at 2am due to adjusting to time change from Europe so joined the gym yesterday so that I could workout at 330am this morning!

A greyer day with chance of rain and cold with new snow (termination dust) on the mountain tops!

Fetched my van from storage and drove half mile to my storage unit when the serpentine belt broke then waited three hours for tow truck....found that it was the alternator.
